Permaculture/Sustainable Homesteading Workshop Survey

I’m currently working with two other gentleman on an idea we’ve had and I could really use your help, because in the end it might really help you!

We are looking at putting together an educational workshop on all things agricultural sometime this winter in Indianapolis. This will be a two day classroom style workshop that people can attend for a flat fee and listen to three different experts cover topics including:

  • Introduction to urban and rural permaculture design
  • Sustainable homesteading
  • Rotational grazing for cattle
  • Forest foraging and gathering
  • Raising pastured pork and poultry
  • Basic homesteading skills
  • Organic gardening
  • Maintaining a flock of laying hens
  • Bringing surplus product to market for retail
  • Whole farm infrastructure systems (fence, water, chicken tractors)
  • And much, much more

I will be one of the three speakers covering all things related to producing pastured poultry, pork and beef for both homesteading and profit. And while I won’t divulge the names of the other two guys just yet, you will be excited to learn who they are. One of them is a published author who has been on The Survival Podcast multiple times and is a very accomplished organic gardener and sustainable homesteader on a 4 acre rural property. The other has recently completed his coursework with Geoff Lawton and obtained his official PDC from Geoff’s school. He has also been putting permaculture into practice on his own .2 acre urban property in Indy for the last three years as well as consulting with various clients.

Together, we’ll be putting together the whole picture for you to implement on your own property from zones 1 thru 5. This will encompass urban properties from 0.2-1 acre, to small rural properties from 1-20+ acres and whole farm systems up to 300 acres. No matter what size property you have or where you are currently at in the implementation or educational process, we’ll be able to help you take the next steps for real success. And regardless if you are simply interested in homesteading or might want to take it to the next level for profit and income, it will all be applicable to you. We will also allow plenty of Q&A time with all three of us and have some other fun things in the works outside of the classroom.

So what do we need from you? Your very valued input! If we are going to do this, we need your help in laying out the logistics and topics to be covered so that if you attend, you will get the most out of this possible. I’ll tell you that it will be a jam packed schedule with an abundance of information for an extremely modest price.

Please take a few moments to fill out this online survey for us and give us your valuable feedback! We are very excited about this workshop, as all three of us love to teach and share what we have learned and put into practice on our own properties. If you have any additional comments, please feel free to e-mail them directly to me and I’ll make certain to pass them along to the other instructors.

Thanks in advance for your time!
